-He adjusts them so that he can put his arm around her and kisses her forehead- I’m glad too. I haven’t seen the world either but it’d be more memorable with you. -he absentmindedly strokes her exposed arm with his thumb, keeping his ears alert in case the announcement comes-
Flight to Heathrow, London departing at 1:10 AM boarding rows AA to LL now
That’s us, love. -He grabs the duffel bag and takes her hand- I got the tickets. -Once handing them over, he grins as they make their way through the pathway to the plane and the hostesses direct them to their seats.- Take the window seat, M’gann, I don’t mind. -He lets go of her hand to struggle with the above seating storage compartment. He blushes and slinks into his seat next to M’gann when the hostess take the bag from his hand and takes care of baggage situation- Heh, I could’ve gotten it if I had more time.
Don’t worry, I know you could have. Easier than leaping tall buildings in a single bound, I would guess. -smiles and giggles, a little giddy as she opens up the window and presses her nose to the glass, only to still see the landing strip and the loading gates- This is so exciting! I can’t even take it— are you excited? Do you know what London is like?
-chuckles and watches her, his own enthusiasm growing- Yeah, I’m excited too! I only know about London through my education but I’ve never seen it. Let’s go to Buckingham Palace or the London Eye! Maybe we should find a place to stay first. -he takes her hand and kisses her before the hostess starts making the seatbelt announcements. Conner leans back in his seat and stares out the window past M’gann’s head as the hostess finishes up the announcements and the plane starts moving towards the runway. He closes his eyes and sighs, gripping the seat’s armrests as the plane takes off-
Okay, yeah, probably a good idea. I mean, we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves, this is awesome but that’s no reason to lose it or anything and WHAT WAS THAT? -As the plane takes off, revving the engine and making loud noises as it takes off- The bioship has never made any noises that are THAT loud, is something wrong? Are we going to crash? This is so strange… I mean, I know I can fly, but that doesn’t meant hat I like flying when it’s not me…
-Conner unconsciously grabs her hand instead of the armrests as the plane shakes again while leveling out-
This is your pilot speaking. We are experiencing some turbulence from a wind pocket. We are going to cruise about 200 feet lower to escape it and we will be flying with minimal movement from here on out. Hostesses will start serving drinks in about an hour so sit tight folks. TV reception will start once we get out of this pocket. Thank you and have a pleasant flight.
-Conner lets out a sigh of relief once the plane stops vibrating and the hostesses start patrolling the aisles again- Perhaps we should’ve taken the bioship instead. -He notices that he’s still clenching her hand so he lets go, chuckles and kisses her, the butterflies in his stomach still waiting to be quelled- I don’t know how people do this all the time… not even the bike moves this much. -He plays with the edge of his shirt before checking out the earphones- Um… want to watch something? I mean, it’s a pretty long flight or we can sleep. -He yawns and rubs his eyes from exhaustion-
Haha, heh… Um… Sorry… I guess I’m just not a good flyer. Er, I am, but you know. -chuckles, calmed down by Superboy’s hand in her hand and his steady, rock-solid presence at her side. She smiles, biting her lip as she plays with the various buttons on the arm rest. If she’s getting a few annoyed looks from the other passengers, she doesn’t notice.- Yeah, want to listen to the radio? We can each take a headphone set, and figure out which station we like and tune to the same one!
